We’re a creative studio, specialized in creating tender learning spaces.
Our work is nourished by the Indigenous teachings of the Milpa. You might know her by their other names: Corn, Squash, Beans or the Three Sisters.
Milpa is an Ancestral Indigenous technology that grows sustainable food, medicines & nourishes the soil, based on growing inter-complementary plants on a single field.
The intercomplentary relationship between the milpa sisters, beans, squash and corn, remind us about the supports that we provide and receive from others.
Milpa studio is envisioned, planted, nourished & harvested accross Turtle Island. From Anishinaabe, Cree, Lakota, Lenape, Nahua, Mixtec & Binniza ancestral territories.
